Day Two began with breakfast at the hotel, and then... THE SAN DIEGO ZOO!!! If you haven't been, it's everything you've heard and then some! We're both big kids at heart, so this was either the best or the worst place for us to spend the first full day of our two fortnights' holiday. In any case, since a picture is worth at least a thousand words.... 
It was a full day (9 AM to 5 PM, which, as most of you know, is longer than the average work week for Huey) and we still had to drive back to LA. Unfortunately, no one warned us about the horrific Sunday night traffic between San Diego and LA on the I-5, so we detoured through San Juan Capistrano in search of vittles. We settled for the much-ballyhooed and incredibly exclusive bistro App L B's (you figure it out!) before checking in at The Raddison Hotel next to LAX for the night.
We were exhausted, but Days Three and Four officially begin what we've been waiting for and working up to for, in Robin's case, almost two years.
